Sautéed Artichoke Hearts ~ Easily Gluten Free

If you love artichokes and garlic, you have to try these Sautéed Artichoke Hearts. Hubby absolutely loves when I make this tasty dish for him. It also disappears quickly at potlucks.  
This is easily Gluten Free as long as you do not use a more processed sausage that may contain gluten. Be sure to check your label.

Sautéed Artichoke Hearts


  • 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage check for gluten free, if necessary
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large white onion chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic minced (I actually use 4-6)
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 pound frozen artichoke hearts I get mine at our local Trader Joe's
  • fresh ground pepper to taste
  • salt to taste


  • Cook sausage, onions, and frozen artichoke hearts in oil.
  • When the artichokes are thawed and the sausage is cooked, add wine, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer until artichokes are tender.
