Friday Finds For Homeschool

This week’s free homeschool resources include: How to Extract DNA from Anything, Lego Lapbook, Bible Study Lapbook for Book of James. Free Stuff from Evan-Moor, and The Giant Germ.

New Bible Study Lapbook on the Book of James by Nadene Esterhuizen

We are going to do this lapbook soon!  Nadene says, “These minibooks cover about 90% of the Book of James.”  and “The complete download consists of 14 pages with about 34 minibooks, a cover page and other references and notes…”  Get your copy here.

“Free Stuff” from Evan-Moor Educational Publishers

I love Evan-Moor’s products anyway, but free is a great price!  Here you will find free monthly lesson plans for three levels: PreK-K, 1-3, and 4-6.  Be sure to sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of that page, too.  I have been receiving their newsletter for easily more than a year.  Always includes great promo prices and links to free materials like I have mentioned above.

“The Giant Germ” by Yee Shall Know

This lapbook is intended to go along with your studying of “The Giant Germ” by The Magic School Bus.  I love the quality that Yee Shall Know produces. Get your copy here.

“How to Extract DNA from Anything Living”

Yes, you read that correctly.  I have not tried this, yet. The way it is explained, however, it looks like something that I could even do… This area of Science usually just makes my brain gloss over with a thick fog.  If you go down towards the bottom, there is a PDF of the page for downloading.  There is also a “Teacher Resources & Lesson Plans” section. The link is at the top right. Be sure to sign up for their email list and check out their “Print-and-Go Lesson Plan Index”.  You can find it all right here

Free Lego Unit and Lapbook from Walking by the Way

This is simply amazing! We are planning on doing this soon.  It has four days of lessons covering topics such as: the history of Legos, how Legos are made, building challenges, and more.  I plan to break the “days” up even further. I think you can do it either way. One thing is for sure, your Lego fanatics will love this!  The fun starts here.

If you are new to Friday Finds for Homeschool, please read the notes below for more details.

I love it when I find great resources for homeschooling online and get to share them with my friends. I often find wonderful free or inexpensive resources that can help homeschooling families spend less money and quite easily have a strong homeschool learning experience. Please note that these finds are not created by me personally unless stated otherwise. My desire for this series of posts is to share, support, and publicize some wonderful free and/or inexpensive resources that I feel more people should know about. The opinions I give are completely my own. I am not to be held responsible for any problems with the resources, broken links, etc. However, if you do let me know of any problems, I can fix the link or remove the recommendation, when necessary. Also, please note that some of these offers may only be for a limited time regardless if it is stated by me or the related site, so act quickly. Enjoy!
