Max’s Pawsitively Exciting Books

It is my pleasure to introduce all of my readers to a pawsitively grrrrrrrrrrrrreat dog named Maximus!  Max, as his friends call him, is an award winning Children’s Book Author (Dog). His first book: “Dogs Move Too! From Max’s Point of View!” won the following awards:

2009 Beach Book Festival: Children’s Category — Winner
2009 New York & San Francisco Book Festival: Children’s Category — Runner-up
2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards: Animal/Pets  — Category Finalist
2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards: Best Cover Design Fiction — Category Finalist
2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards: Best Overall Design Fiction — Category Finalist
After reading his second book: “Dogs Work Too!  From Max’s Point of View!”, I can tell why!  My son and I immediately fell in love with Max, a six year old yellow English Labrador Retriever.

“Buddy” kept stopping me as I read the book aloud for the first time.  He was so taken by all of the super cute pictures and the way that the pages where made to look just like a personal scrapbook.  It did not bother me, because I have to admit…I was, too.

“Dogs Work Too!  From Max’s Point of View!” does a beautiful job of educating all of us about Leader Dogs for the Blind in a manner that is entertaining and informative at the same time.  As a homeschool mom, finding this quality of a resource is like gold.  You could easily make a lapbook and/or unit study with this book as your main source.

Leader Dogs for the Blind has trained over 13,500 clients in 39 countries to use a Leader Dog since they began in 1939. All services are provided free of charge to clients thanks to donations from individuals, community service clubs, foundations, and corporations around the world.

Receiving a Leader Dog impacts the life of someone whom is blind or visually impaired in SO many ways!  They can gain independence, safety, and self-worth.

Max donates a portion of all book sales to Leader Dogs for the Blind.  Your purchase of any or all of Max’s books helps raise money for Future Leader Dogs.  Besides owning quality books, you will be helping a wonderful cause.

*  Back in 2011, my blog was part of Max’s Pawsitively Exciting Children’s Book Blog Tour. While moving this post over here to my new blog I updated the post, because even though there is no longer a giveaway… I still recommend these books.
